Everything Feels Uncertain Right Now.

Here's What I'm Finding Underneath It.

For months now, I've been watching things dissolve before they root.

An idea takes shape, I pour love into it, I put it out into the world, and then... nothing. Not failure exactly. Just a quiet non-landing. Income that usually flows from a certain direction simply doesn't, for a stretch longer than feels reasonable. A role I've held for years, in a family I've built with people I love, has started to shift under me, not because anything went wrong, but because the shape of what's needed is changing and I'm having to make peace with taking up less space in it for now.

I keep waiting for it to make sense. For there to be a lesson I can extract, package, and file under "growth," so I can stop feeling the ground move.

But here's what I'm actually noticing, when I stop trying to make it mean something: I'm not the only one.

I've had conversations this year that I can't stop turning over. A surgeon, mid-career, now driving rideshare between shifts because the work that used to be certain isn't. A friend whose business closing wasn't even the hard part; what came after it was. Someone I love losing the person they built their whole life around, with no warning, no map, and no version of "before" to go back to. Budgets being redone at kitchen tables that were never meant to be reworked this many times in one year.

And alongside all of that, something else.

A kind of sharpness in the world right now. People ready to pounce, online and off, in a way that feels less like disagreement and more like everyone's nervous system is a little too close to the surface. Real fear about what's coming, technology moving faster than anyone's sense of safety, the cost of simply staying alive climbing in ways that make long-term thinking feel like a luxury.

I don't think this is a coincidence of unrelated bad luck.

I think something bigger is moving through all of us right now, and each of us is meeting it in our own particular way, according to our own particular makeup; the season we're in, the story we're carrying, the exact shape of what we're each being asked to release.

Which brings me to the question I can't put down.

If nothing is holding still, who am I in that? What's actually mine to carry here, and what have I just been holding out of habit?

Because here's what I keep coming back to: "nothing lasts" isn't proof that something's broken.

It's just true. It's always been true. Change is the actual nature of being alive, not a glitch in it. What's different right now is how many of us are feeling that truth all at once, loudly, in the parts of life we'd quietly agreed to treat as fixed. Money. Roles. Relationships. The people we assumed would still be there tomorrow.

The disengagement I've been feeling, the flatness, the sense of why bother building anything if it just dissolves; I don't think that's me doing this wrong. I think it's grief, for a kind of certainty that was never actually solid, it just used to feel that way.

And underneath the grief, something quieter is starting to take shape. Not answers. Not a new five-year plan. Something closer to this:

A groundedness that isn't rented from external circumstances holding still.

Not a groundedness that depends on the income landing, the role staying the same size, the world calming down, or the future becoming legible again. A groundedness that comes from somewhere else entirely; somewhere that doesn't need the map to be finished before you're allowed to take a step.

I don't think the invitation right now is to become a new version of ourselves.

New feels like too much, and honestly, a little beside the point. I think the real invitation is smaller and harder: to let go of the version of us that's been working so hard to make meaning out of everything, to force certainty into places that were never going to hold it.

Not because meaning-making is bad. It's just not what this moment is asking for. This moment is asking us to become adept at residing here, in the actual unpredictable middle of things, without needing it to resolve first.

So if you're in your own version of this right now, watching something dissolve before it roots, feeling the ground move under a life that used to feel settled, I want you to know two things.

You're not doing it wrong.

And you're not the only one standing here, quietly asking: who am I, when the map I was using doesn't apply anymore? What's actually mine to hold onto, and what was I only ever gripping because letting go felt scarier than the ache of holding on?

I don't have a tidy answer for you. I'm inside the question with you.

But if any part of this landed, if you're sensing that what you actually need isn't a new plan but a different relationship to the not-knowing itself, that's the work I hold space for. Not fixing the uncertainty. Building the capacity to actually live inside it, steady, without needing to rent your ground from anything outside you.

If that's where you're at, and you'd like to explore what to release and how to make meaning and live in such an uncertain world with more lightness and joy and grace, please book a breakthrough call, to explore how I might be the right fit to help you in this time — Ros
